  2. Managing a diverse team with different playing styles: The Indian cricket team comprises players from different regions and cultures, and each player has a unique playing style. Dhoni had to find a way to manage and motivate the team to perform to their potential while maintaining a harmonious team environment.
  3. Overcoming the team’s inconsistent performances: India has always been known for its inconsistent performances, especially in overseas conditions. Dhoni faced the challenge of overcoming this inconsistency and building a team that could perform consistently across all conditions.
  4. Navigating the politics of Indian cricket: Indian cricket has always been mired in politics, and Dhoni had to navigate this minefield while maintaining his focus on the game. He had to deal with the selection committee, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), and various other stakeholders who often had conflicting interests.
  5. Managing the workload of players: The Indian cricket team has a busy schedule, with matches played across all formats throughout the year. Dhoni had to manage the workload of his players to prevent injuries and burnout while still ensuring that the team performed at its best in every match.
